The word “nails” in French can have two meanings depending on the context:


1. Fingernails / Toenailsles ongles (masculine plural)

  • un ongle – a nail

  • les ongles – the nails

  • ongles des mains – fingernails

  • ongles des pieds – toenails

Example:
